Visun Cullinan Sales Center: A Harmony of Nature and Art

Golden A' Design Award Winner Tao Huang & Zhihong Li's Masterpiece

The Visun Cullinan Sales Center, located in Central Sanya, is an exclusive landmark developed by the Visun Group. The site is characterized by an intersection of mountains, rivers, and waters, providing a unique canvas for the architects to work with. The design was inspired by the authentic perception and exquisite experience of fusing nature's most unaffected gifts into the interior, blending local features into a harmonious whole.

The unique properties of this design are evident in the vibrant and refined circular arc lines that dominate the main space. These flowing lines echo the mellow coastline of Sanya, extending the architecture exterior into the interior. The 760 square meter space is a testament to the architects' ability to create a seamless blend of nature and art.

The realization of this design was achieved through a combination of innovative design techniques and traditional craftsmanship. The sculptural staircase, painted in dusky color and complemented by burlywood furnishings, subtly reflects the original intention of the design - to explore nature and blend it with art. A large area of green plants in the room fulfills the long-term ecological principles and life concept of aerobic and low-carbon living.

The design project, which started in October 2016 and was completed in January 2018 in Sanya, China, faced several challenges. The architecture attempted to weaken the confine of each associated space, resulting in a more successive and well-proportioned surface. This created a contracted and easeful ambiance typically found in museums. The dispersed half-open enclosures in the business area were inspired by the traditional rattan crafts that the aborigines of the Li nationality specialize in.

The Visun Cullinan Sales Center was awarded the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is granted to marvelous, outstanding, and trendsetting creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom.
